I started attending Drama classes as a very shy and reserved 13-year-old, the plan being to meet new friends, build my confidence, and have some fun. Somewhere along the way I fell so in love with the subject, I decided to build a career out of it! I studied Drama at the University of Huddersfield, graduating in 2012 with a First Class degree. Since then, I have acted with a range of Northern theatre and film companies and societies, and have also worked with various Theatre in Education companies. I refocussed my training as an actor with Independent Centre for Actor Training (ICAT)’s Artist Development Course in 2018/19.
I joined Wild Things in 2015 as a Drama Coach, and am a very happy part of the furniture! I teach at Oldham Hulme Grammar School, and occasionally cover classes and offer support at Denshaw and Oldham. I love getting to know our students, and supporting them as they go from strength to strength, building their confidence and performance skills while having fun. I have continued to train and work myself, and I am always excited to learn and share exercises and techniques with Wild Things students!
Besides coaching, I also provide Admin Support. This largely involves having an overview of everything we’re up to, keeping on top of our policies and procedures, sending out communications, and generally helping Wild Things to keep organised as we move forward with our plans as a CIC. Look out for me in your junk folders!
